Is it a foul to bounce a table tennis ball twice

    Foul

In table tennis, it is a foul to bounce the ball twice on your own table.

The rules of table tennis stipulate that during the serve, the ball bounces once on the opponent's table and then crosses the net to reach the opponent's table; during a match, after one player hits the ball, the ball bounces once on the opponent's table, and the opponent then hits it back. If the ball bounces twice or more on the opponent's table, it means that the shot was not completed within the required number of times, and thus the point is lost. For example, if player A serves the ball and player B fails to return the ball on the first bounce, and the ball bounces twice on B's table, the referee rules that player B has committed a foul and player A scores a point.

It should be noted that this rule only applies to the ball bouncing on your own table. For the ball bouncing on the net, according to the rules of the 2022 CBA, if the ball touches the center net and then touches the opponent's table, it is considered a valid score, no matter whether the ball bounces twice or three times on the net, it is still a valid score.
